What it does

Reserved and custom fields together

Map into SendGrid’s reserved contact fields and your own custom ones from one screen, with each value converted to the type the field expects.

Straight onto the list

Contacts are added to the marketing list you selected, so an automation keyed to that list starts without further wiring.

Queued work reported honestly

SendGrid processes contact imports asynchronously. The delivery records the job it opened rather than claiming a success it cannot yet see.

Getting it working

  1. 01

    Add your API key

Create a SendGrid API key with marketing permissions and paste it into the xpac settings screen.

  2. 02

    Pick the list

Add the SendGrid delivery to your form and choose the marketing list.

  3. 03

    Map your fields

Match form fields to reserved and custom contact fields.

Every setting

What you can configure, and where it lives. Site settings apply everywhere; the rest are set on the form itself.

Questions

Does this send email?

No. It manages marketing contacts. Sending is configured in SendGrid, or in your site’s SMTP settings.

Why does the entry say the import is queued?

Because it is. SendGrid accepts contacts into a background job, so the honest answer at submission time is that the job was opened.

Which permissions does the key need?

Marketing contacts read and write. A full-access key works but is more than the delivery uses.

Can I add the same contact to two lists?

Yes, by adding the delivery twice with a different list on each.
